Heimplanet – Unrivalled Tents & Groundbreaking Backpacks
Using travelling as inspiration, HEIMPLANET has created a range of innovative tents and travel luggage that will blow your mind. Welcome to our Heimplanet Brand Profile:
Established in 2003, German brand HEIMPLANET have found the perfect formula that combines the best technical features available resulting in unique and innovative tents. They wanted to create a whole new tent experience. Taking inspiration from architect Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic domes, they channelled these forms into their own structural tent designs. That combined with their inflatable technology allowed HEIMPLANET to create one-of-a-kind tents.
What does this mean for the user? These tents require no poles – all you need to do is to unroll and inflate. It makes camping less complicated, leaving more time to enjoy the real travelling experience. Let’s have a closer look at the tents themselves:
FISTRAL is the 1-2 person inflatable tent. Its compact design offers great flexibility with a minimum pack size and weight. Two entrances and two vestibules offer maximum comfort. The two entrances provide convenient access and protect you from wind and weather. This unique, one-pump inflatable tent is ideal for happy campers and serious trekkers alike. It has an intuitive and extremely fast pitching time as it simply rolls out and inflates with just one procedure. It will simultaneously erect the airframe, inner tent and flysheet so there’s no waiting around.
The inflatable geodesic structure ensures an outstanding stability and guarantees the easy setup of The Cave – so you can reduce tent set-up time and increase trip enjoyment time. Its inflatable geodesic construction ensures outstanding stability and an impressively fast and easy set-up. Its superb design means it can be inflated in one step with a pump in less than 60 seconds. Once inflated its multi-chamber construction means it can be separated into separate chambers to ensure emergency stability in the event that a part becomes damaged.
Alongside their creation of superbly futuristic tents, HEIMPLANET have also created the Monolith luggage series. We love these incredibly versatile bags. You can use them on far off travels or as an everyday bag:
It carries 40l, but is still small enough to squeeze into the carry-on category. The Weekender can be used as a backpack with two padded shoulder straps, or the additional shoulder strap can be used to turn the backpack into a messenger bag. It is the maximum size for carry-on luggage you are allowed to take on a plane. It also comes with an extra pack sack for your shoes or your dirty clothes. Have a great trip!
The highly versatile 45L backpack offers flexibility in size, a number of adjustment options, and an ergonomic carrying system for travellers and backpackers. Its aluminium frame and the hip belt can be removed to make it a perfect pack for everyday use. The Rucksack comes with an integrated laptop sleeve, which has its own access on the right side.
Inspired by travel, HEIMPLANET get involved in more than just the products needed to take travelling to the next level. HEIMPLANET have roaming ambassadors who they support such as Chris Mcleod who basically just seems to wander the world taking amazing photos. They also participate in some amazing film projects such as The Old, The Young and The Sea a documentary that charts a 16-week journey across the European west coast. Bottom line, these guys live and breath travel and we are delighted to get them on Bear & Bear.
