Stojo Cup Review – a innovation in portable mugs
This is our Stojo Cup review where we give some insight into the cleverly designed, eco-friendly manufacturing of this collapsible cup – so brilliant. It’s a worthy addition to your coffee cup collection.
Bear & Bear loves a hot drink in the morning, but we’re not so keen on disposable cups. And whilst travel mugs are great, they can be a bit of a nuisance to carry around. Coffee lover Ben Melinger identified this problem, and presented the world the answer – The Stojo Cup: a cup for coffee, tea or any beverage that collapses into a completely sealed little disc. You can easily store it in your pocket, bag or backpack and take it out whenever you’re ready to use! Whilst having coffee with some friends a couple years back, Melinger came up with the idea and put it into action. It’s no surprise that Stojo successfully reached its goal on Kickstarter, I mean how did someone not think of this idea already?
Keeping the design simple, The Stojo Cup consists of 3 main parts that can be easily taken apart to put in dishwasher or wash by hand. And when assembled back together they create a liquid tight seal. Constructed from moldable silicone, the Stojo can be smashed down into pocket size so you can conveniently take it with you without having to worry about the bulk. And whenever you’re ready to drink, just pop it back in place.
Most importantly, Stojo Cup plays its part in contributing to the preservation of the environment. It is made from safe and recyclable materials and contains no phthalates or glues and reduces the use of the “criminal” disposable cup. Most disposable cups are lined with polyethylene which makes them non-recyclable and on average 98 tonnes of resources are used to make just one tonne of paper. It’s easy to see how significant a travel mug can be if you’re a daily coffee drinker like us. The only argument supporting to-go cups is one of convenience and even that doesn’t stand up against the masterful Stojo.
Save some space, help your planet, have more fun with the Stojo cup.
