It was love at first sight when Bear & Bear first laid eyes on Millican. Taking their love for the outdoors and adventures, this is a brand that makes bags with a difference. Based on a farm in the English Lake District National Park they base inspiration from self-proclaimed ‘Professor of Adventure’ and outdoor pioneer Millican Dalton.
It all started in the 1900s, when Millican Dalton decided to trade in his 9-5 redundant lifestyle in London to pursue a freeing, self-sufficient lifestyle that only involved the bare essentials in nature. From the bustling London vibes, Millican moved into a cave in the lush Borrowdale Valley, English Lake District. He even made his own organic clothing, tents and rucksacks. While making such a drastic change in lifestyle, Millican insured to maintain his balance in life by indulging in the simple pleasures of weekly coffee fixes in a shop in Keswick. This is a man of inspiration for any modern day adventurer.
The brand made this film as a homage to Millican that provided their biggest source of inspiration.
