The Louvre Residence is an exquisite Hausmannian style apartment – perfect for any family looking for a Paris Weekend Break
My pick for the week is the cream of the crop for any young family looking for a Paris weekend break. The Louvre residence the quintessential, Haussmanian style, Parisian apartment located in the heart of Paris. I’ve discovered this lovely gem from kid&coe, a fabulous website for anyone looking to travel with kids, check them out!
What initially struck me about this apartment is its prime location. You are literally neighbours with the Louvre, Palays Royal and Les Halles and walking distance to great restaurants, cafes and groceries stores. And for the young ones, there are plenty of playgrounds nearby and Centre Pompidou for their entertainment. With such a dream location it means that no car is necessary – with the efficient Metro lines and taxis, you can get around really easily. Even better, Gare du Nord station is only a 15 minute drive – perfect if you plan on taking the Eurostar for the weekend!
Aside from its prime location, what really caught my eye is the design. This beautiful 3 bedroom villa is decorated in a minimal yet tasteful style and accentuated with unique modern artwork and mid-century furniture.
My favourite feature is the 45 metre balcony surrounding the apartment. I would take full advantage of the views whilst enjoying a glass of vino. There is also plenty in store for the kids as well of books and toys to keep them entertained. I love the fact that there is even a baby sistter on request if you feel like spending some quality time alone.
The Louvre Residence is as good as it gets and for 490 euros a night, it’s a dream – you can read more about this apartment here.
